DTDDF-SASRD conducts workshop in Molvom

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Technologies Display and Dissemination Facility (DTDDF), School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Nagaland University (NU) organised a one-day workshop on “Technologies of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) for the People of Nagaland” on September 3 at community hall, Molvom village, Dimapur. 

A press release from DTDDF, SASRD exercising authority, Dr. N. K. Patra stated that during the technical session, demonstration and display of the different technologies of DTDDF was done by T. Senchumo Yanthan (DTDDF staff) and Sashilia Ao (research scholar). All participants were encouraged to adopt BARC technologies and to start entrepreneurship with BARC technologies. 

Earlier, Dr. N.K. Patra gave a brief introduction of BARC and their domain of works such as nuclear technology, bio-medics, agriculture, food security, environment, health, etc. Further, he highlighted the available technologies with DTDDF. During the presentation special emphasis was given on starting NISARGRUNA (Bio gas plant) at community/village level or individually to utilize post harvest residue and waste from pineapple cultivation for production of biogas and quality compost.
