DTF holds meeting on malaria elimination

District Task Force (DTF) Dimapur held a meeting on malaria elimination on February 17 at DC’s conference hall.

According to a press release from DTF Dimapur, Dr. Imtiwabong, DPO, NVBDCP Dimapur presented the report of malaria case in 2019. Members resolved to continue conducting social works to involve the stakeholders. Co-ordination meetings with allied departments and Swachh Bharat mission were also proposed. Members also resolved to continue the distribution of larvivorous fish.

Kikolol Khieya, assistant director, UVBDS Dimapur was given the responsibility to find out areas of ponds in and around Dimapur to control mosquito breeding areas. IT section under DMC was also given the responsibility to sketch out maps of drainage for Dimapur municipal area.

Earlier, Anoop Khinchi, DC Dimapur chaired the meeting which commenced with a review of previous DTF meeting minutes.
