One-day programme on “ecumenical dialogue and peace building” was held at Khuzama Village Council hall on June 9, attended by various churches and village council members.

A press release from Peace Channel media cell stated that, K. Victor, district project associate, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Nagaland, moderated the panel discussion. He highlighted the main purpose of Peace Channel, which was to promote youth and churches of different denominations to make peace in the community and society. He said that peace was boundless as it was not bounded by religion, caste, creed and tribe.
He further pointed out that truthful and God fearing leaders have to be elected and that leaders should have positive vision and peace bearers.  He also said that one should be Christ-centered and not self-centered to have peace in self and all walks of life.
Baptist Church Khuzama, pastor Kevisezo said that the noblest job in the society was working for peace, where in the Bible the word “Peace” is also mentioned more than 400 times. He therefore, urged all the participants not to preach about denominations but to preach about Jesus Christ.  Representatives from Christian Revival Church (CRC) and Catholic Church Khuzama (CCK) also spoke at the programme.
Earlier, the programme chaired by MISSIO project coordinator, Peace Channel, Chumdemo Odyuo began with an invocation by pastor, Baptist church Khuzama, Kevisezo.
