EDBA bans single-use plastic

The East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) informed all the shop Owners/shop keepers that, the association has imposed total banned on single use plastic carry bags with or without handle irrespective of thickness and size, plastic cutlery including plates, plastic cups straws, stirrers and other decorative made of Styrofoam (thermocol) polythene, nylon, poly-vinyl-carbohydrates ,poly-propylene & poly-styrene, as per the directive of Nagaland Government ,

A press release by the EDBA grievances cell convenor Ayeto N Aye stated that in support of Nagaland government’s cabinet decision, the EDBA has asked all the shop owners/shopkeepers to the order and immediately stop use of single use plastic/carry bags within EDBA jurisdiction.
If anyone found violating the Government order, fine will be imposed as per the Government order, the release added.
