 Congress public meeting in Ungma on April 6

District Congress Committee Mokokchung (DCCM) has, in a press release, informed the public that a public meeting has been organized for April 6 at Babu Tsubu Hall, Ungma Village from 1 pm. 

The meeting is likely to be attended by dignitaries like Star Campaigner K. Therie, president NPCC; Dr. S.C Jamir former governor of Odisha; TR. Zeliang, former chief minister; KL Chishi, former chief minister and INC candidate for the Lok Sabha elections, besides others. The DCC Mokokchung has informed all rank and file of the Congress party to attend the meeting without fail. It has also invited officials of NPF Mokokchung division along with all units and frontals and likeminded parties and secular fronts to the meeting.

Postal Ballot for by-election on April 6 in Kohima

DIMAPUR: Postal Ballot casting for 26-Aonglenden A/C by-election, Kohima District will be held on April 6 from 10 am to 2 pm at EDC Cell, DC’s Office, Kohima.

DIPR reports that SDO (C) Jakhama and nodal officer of EDC and Postal Ballot, AlemyapangLongchar, has directed all voters who have applied for the same to come and exercise their franchise on the mentioned date and time. 

By-poll postal ballot Bhandari location cancelled

DIMAPUR: DC & DEO, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, in partial modification to an earlier notification has stated that the postal-ballot Facilitation Center in the office of the commandant of the 7 NAP Battalion, Bhandari, stands cancelled as there was no application under Bhandari sub-division.

According to DIPR, as notified earlier, for the rest of the applicants, postal ballot voting shall take place at the Facilitation Centre in the DC&DEO, Wokha’s office on April 6, from 12 pm (Noon) onwards. All concerned voters from the 26-Aonglenden (ST) A/C, Mokokchung 2019 have been asked to exercise their franchise on the mentioned date, time and place without fail.

By-election postal-ballot for Zunheboto

DIMAPUR: DC&DEO Zunheboto Shanavas C has informed all voters under Zunheboto district eligible to vote via Postal-Ballot for the by-election in 26-Aonglenden (ST) A/C, that they may exercise their vote via Postal-Ballot at the facilitation centre in the EDC cell in the office of the DC, Zunheboto on April 6 and 7 between 9 am to 12 Noon.

ADC Tuensang directs presiding offers

DIMAPUR: ADC Tuensang, M. Chaitanya Prasad, has issued a notification directing all presiding officers to come for EVM & VVPAT Certification at the DC’s Conference Hall Tuensang. According to DIPR, the schedule is thus: April 4 , 10 am to 11 am - 51 Noksen AC presiding officer; 11 am to 12 pm (Noon) - 52 Longkhim-Chare AC; 12 pm to 1 pm - 53 Tuensang Sadar-1 A/C; 1 pm to 2 pm – Tuenang Sadar-II A/C; 2 pm to 3 pm - 56 Noklak A/C; 3 pm to 4 pm - 57 Thonoknyu A/C; and 4 pm to 5 pm - 58 Shamator-Chessore A/C. All presiding officers under Tuensang district have been informed to attend the training without fail.

DC&DEO Peren on requisition of halls

DIMAPUR: DC&DEO Peren, Sarita Yadav, has issued an order for requisition of offices, institutions, Village Panchayat Halls and Town Council Halls etc., in which the Polling stations are located, under 6-Tening & 7-Peren Assembly segments of Peren District, for Polling purposes w.e.f April 9 to 11, in connection with conduct of the General Elections to the Lok Sabha. This order shall come into force with immediate effect.

Information for Peren polling personnel

DIMAPUR: SDO(C) & nodal officer for EDC Peren, Vejoyo Swuro through a circular, has informed all polling personnel who have applied for EDC form 12B, that the dates have been fixed from April 5 to 7. All concerned polling personnel who have applied EDC may avail the same on the given dates during office hours at EDC cell, Old ADC building Peren.

Kiphire final polling training on April 5 & 6

DIMAPUR: ADC and nodal officer of personnel management Kiphire, Renny Wilfred, in a circular stated that in partial modification of an earlier office order, training for all polling officers will be held on April 5 and 6, 10 am at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Building Kiphire. All concerned polling officers have been requested to attend the training without fail.

DC Kiphire directs officers to remain in station

DIMAPUR: DC&DEO Kiphire, M. Shayumg Phom has notified all Heads of Offices and officers of all government departments under Kiphire to remain at station until the election process is complete. Any official wanting to leave station should take prior permission from the DC & DEO. Unauthorized absence will attract penal provisions under Representation of People’s Act 1951 and section 174 of the IPC.
