Eastern Nagaland College Students' Union (ENCSU) has urged the state government to release financial aid to stranded eastern students outside and within the state of Nagaland.

In a press release, ENCSU president, M Longre Chang and general secretary, Wangnei C Jessuhu stated that as per information received by the union, “not a single” Eastern Nagaland Students' Union from outside state have received any relief fund from the state government. In this regard, ENCSU has appealed the state government to look into the matter and also provide special travel passage for those stranded students to reach their respective homes. The union said many students are stranded due to short notification of the nationwide lock down and also for non-postponement of University Examinations in Kohima & Dimapur.  The union has also urged the state government to immediately setup all necessary equipment and materials at the eastern areas Hospital (COVID-19) Covid-19 centres at the earliest.
