EPFO introduces special provision for EPF Scheme

 DThe Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced a provision for special withdrawal from the EPF Scheme to tide over the COVID -19 pandemic on March 28. Under the provision non-refundable withdrawal to the extent of the basic wages and dearness allowances for three months or upto 75% of the amount standing to the member’s credit in the EPF account. The member can apply for lesser amount also, informed M Newmei, Assistant PF Commissioner, SSO, Dimapur in a press release.

He also informed that Rs.17 481.63 crore have been disbursed to 40,826 PF members as advance under the exempted PF Trusts as of April 17.
