ESH on taxi fare

Eastern Sumi Hoho (ESH) has appealed taxi counters and taxi drivers to strictly adhere to the rates fixed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and administrator Kiphire Town Council (KTC) for different destinations from Kiphire which was informed on February 6. A press release by ESH vice president, H Phutoi Sumi and joint secretary, Vikhugha stated that the Hoho would under no circumstances allow different counters and taxi drivers to ferry more than five passengers. ESH also directed all taxi drivers and passengers to strictly follow the SOPs and urged the public of Kiphire to be vigilant and report to the administrator KTC or ESH on any violation of the laid down rules.
