Exploring Angami’s Musical Heritage’ to mark the 3rd day of Sekrenyi Festival

 The third day of the Angami Sekrenyi Mini Hornbill celebrations (February 27) will begin at 12 p.m. with the opening of the stalls while cultural extravaganza will commence at 5 p.m. with the chairman Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board (NKVIB), Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu as the special guest.

The cultural extravaganza will be marked by "Exploring Angami's Musical Heritage" where six to seven local artists will be competing with their composed Tenyidie songs and 30-35 other local artists will also be performing during the programme. 

Special appearance for the night will be made by Atso Chasie, Gei-ü Artist/Music Educator, who will be presenting a musical piece on his newly invented musical instrument called Gei-ü. Gei-ü is an improvised instrument, developed from our traditional instruments like -marok kongki, gongkih Lahha and Nrü-bu etc. 

The programme is being organised by the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) in collaboration with the Sekrenyi Organising Committee.
