F&CS trg on SCM commence in Dmu

With special emphasis on depot management and ePos, three-day training programme on Supply Chain Management (SCM) of end to end computerization of TPDS operations in the state commenced Wednesday, at the directorate of Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) Dimapur.

Resource person from CPMU, ministry Consumer Affair, Food and Public Distribution, department of Food & Public Distribution, New Delhi conducted the hands on training, to understand the role to play in the entry of SMC, objective of computerization and how to use the application at the training programme. 

Resource person brought out a power point presentation on how the supply chain application software works, levels to achieve supply chain automation, how the allocation is generated in the software, what to achieve after implementation of electronic allocation & supply chain system management system and about the supply chain operational status etc. 

Resource persons for the three-day training programme comprised of CPMU world food project policy officer Kumaran, project manager Sumit, senior project manager from integrated system Ltd, Bangalore senior project manager Devraj and world food consultant Piyush.

Objective of the training programme was delivered by F&CS, Dimapur director Asangla Imti (NCS) where she encouraged the gathering that included ADSs, senior inspector, inspectors, sub inspectors and store keepers under directorate, R&D, Kohima and Mon to be sincere, concentrate, clarify their queries and grab the opportunity to learn.

Before, flow off food grains to the beneficiaries in the state comprised of manual system and certain steps were followed of NFSA (PHH&AAY scheme) which included food grain allocation to the state, appointment of transporter (s)/ stockist (s), indent, release order, lifting of food grains, lifting report, FPSs payment, delivery order, distribution of food grains to the beneficiaries at FPSs and utilization certification. But with effect from February 2019, in Dimapur district SCM (computerized system) it will include food grain allocation to the state, indent, release order, work order, truck challan &gate pass(previously known as movement permit), lifting report, stock receipt (previously known as arrival report), FPSs payment, creation of delivery order (DO), truck challan &gate pass/lifting of food grains from state godown by PPSs, distribution of food grains to the beneficiaries at FPSs, closing balance and utilization certificate.  

Three-day training programme will culminate on November 22. 

Exclusive training for ADSs, senior inspector, inspectors, sub inspectors and store keepers under Dimapur, Kiphire, Longleng, Phek and Tuensang will be held on November 21 whereas exclusive training for ADSs, senior inspector, inspectors, sub inspectors and store keepers under Mokokchung, Peren, Wokha and Zunheboto will be held on November 22.
