Faith Harvest Church dedicated in Kohima

The much awaited multi-purpose facility “Faith Harvest Church”, built on an area of 10,287 square feet at PWD colony, opposite central store was dedicated on Saturday afternoon in Kohima.

Asia Harvest Alliance Pastors with Pastor of Paya Lebar Methodist Church, Singapore, Rev. Dr. Jonathan Seet, dedicated the Church in the presence of various Church leaders from Kohima.

Pioneered and led by Rev. Areni Castro, the ministry was initially started as Hope Evangelical Ministry with five members, after which in 2002, Pastor Shan Kikon took over as the pastor of the ministry and changed the name to “Faith Harvest Church”.

Rev. Dr. Jonathan Seet, in a brief sharing, advocated for the congregation to believe in the life of a Church, stating that God would bring a mighty harvest through them.

He congratulated the Church for following in the faith which led to the accomplishment of building the Church.

In his brief exhortation, NCRC mission director Rev. Dr. Imchayanger spoke about the need to be faithful to the Church, because no matter how much a person was anointed, they would not reach their destination without being faithful to God.

He appealed for the congregation to grow, learn and serve in the Church and be prepared to meet the Saviour.

Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho delivered the sermon.

Jack Sekhose in his report on the project said the land was acquired in 2009 and the foundation was laid in April 2011.

A total amount of Rs. 8.6 crore was spent on the project out of which Rs. 7.4 crore was raised through various campaigns held under the theme “Arise and build project”.

While thanking the contributors, he mentioned that over 5000 people donated towards the campaign while contributions were also received from other states like Manipur, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Assam, West Bengal and Karnataka. Donations from abroad were also received -- Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Singapore, Canada and USA.

Zynorique Consultant was the architect of the project and engineers Rokosalie Tsürho, Lijamo Ovung, Martha Natso, Moasusang Angh and Azo Khamio were the project engineers.

The four floored building has a 1400 seating capacity for the worship hall, multi-purpose hall for 150 persons, a Kingdom Kids with 150 seating capacity and the church offices.

The program was chaired by Rev. Hopong Kips while pastor Baptist Mission Church Rev. Moa Longchari invoked God’s blessings.

Church leaders from other churches also joined the dedication service.
