Farm women’s seminar held in Aboi

A farm women’s seminar program on “Sustainable Approach for Doubling of Farmers Income under Changing Climate Scenario” for farm women of Ngangching and surrounding villages was held on August 18 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mon Conference Hall, Aboi.

A press release from KVK Mon ACTO (Animal Science), Dr. Paihem Michui said that the program was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mon (Aboi) Nagaland under National Innovations Climate Resilient in Agriculture- Technology Demonstration Component (NICRA-TDC). 

The seminar was intended at enhancing the adaptive capacity and to upgrade the skills of the farming community. The KVK asst. chief technical officers (Genetics & Plant Breeding) Dr. M.S. Sachan and Dr. Paihem Michui, (Animal Science) presented various aspects of climate change and its impacts, disaster management, natural resource management for enhancing the adoptive capacity  in regard to cropping systems and livestock productions, its strategies for adaptation and resource conservation technologies,  during the seminar. 

The program was chaired by ACTO (Animal Science), while ACTO (GPB) pronounced the vote of thanks. Altogether, 72 farm women from different organizations attended the seminar.
