Felicitation programmes held by various organisations

Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) today felicitated Niji Kath who secured 1st division with highest aggregate marks scorer amongst government schools from Kohima district at its 11th HSLC Examination Topper 2019 felicitation programme at DPDB conference Hall, Kohima on May 15.

According to DIPR report, Niji Kath in her short speech stated that it was a great pleasure to come out with flying colors as well as attending such prestigious felicitation programme and thanked the DPDB for organizing such programme. She said that she achieved through her untiring efforts, unrelenting parental care, expert and knowledgeable teachers and thanked her teachers and parents.

Deputy commissioner Kohima and vice chairman of DPDB Kohima, Anoop Khinchi congratulated her for her success and added that it was a proud privilege to acknowledge such achiever who confronted all odds and made it this far. He lauded her parents for bringing up and supporting their daughter and stated that the role of parents in motivating their children was very important. DC also said that the government schools have the best resources in regard to teachers and materials availability and encouraged the schools to make the best use of it for future success stories. He also suggested for felicitating the top three students and the top holding schools from the district in future. 

Ahichu Kath, father of Niji Kath and Meyawabang headmaster of Government High School, Botsa also spoke during the occasion.

The felicitation programme was chaired by ADC Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa who also delivered the welcome address. Vote of thanks was delivered by district planning officer, Pudusul Luho.

AMK: The Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK) felicitated all the successful Angami toppers of HSLC and HSSLC 2019 on May 14 at the AMK building.  

AMK president Kevinourhenuo seyie in a release stated that there were 15toppers from HSLC and HSSLC this year. The programme was blessed with invocation by AMK treasurer, Vakrale Naleo followed by word of appreciation by president Kevinuorheno Seyie.

The programme followed with presentation and prayers for the toppers by Rev. Mhalevilie Yongo.

Peren community: Peren community organised its third felicitation programme on May 11 at Government Higher Secondary School Peren assembly hall for the successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC 2019.

A press release from Peren Students’ Union (PSU) media secretary, Heutinggumbe stated that special act of felicitation was honoured by secretary Peren Council (apex body), Dr. Ndangkie Ndang, blessing  for the successful candidates was offered  by pastor Police Baptist Church Peren, Dr. Hiazuheing Ndang and words of encouragement was delivered by educational secretary ZBCC, Rangro Herie.

The programme was chaired by secretary Peren government employees’ union, Zierangtei Hega, invocation by associate pastor Peren Baptist Church, Pumchigongbe, words of gratitude was said by vice president, Peren Students’ Unionm Namdahing  Ndang, and the program  concluded  with a  prayer by chairperson, Peren Mipui Nkwa, Keheiyile Hegui.

PHSS: The annual Patkai Higher Secondary School (PHSS) felicitation programme for the Class X and XII distinction holders was conducted at Bundrock auditorium of Patkai Christian College (PCC) on May 15.  A press release from department of Mass Communication (PCC) stated that, principal Patkai HSS, Henry K Shimray while congratulating the students attributed their success to the collective efforts of students, teachers and parents. He further urged the students to work harder and appealed the teachers to give their best in polishing the future of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, principal PCC Husazu Epao exhorted the successful students to go extra mile in living their dreams and also encouraged the students who could not make it this time but to prepare better next time. Faculty Education, PHSS, Esther Swuro also spoke. 

High school choir presented a special number. The meritorious students were given a token of appreciation in the form of cash. Closing prayer was given by Aien warden girls’ hostel PCC.
