Financial inclusion melas conducted in various blocks

Financial Inclusion (FI) Mela in commemoration of Republic Day 2020 under Zubza block was held on January 29 at council hall, Sechü-Zubza. 

According to DIPR report, delivering the keynote address on Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission Schemes (NSRLM), Kenivole Mejura, asstt. district programme manager (NSRLM) DMMU, Kohima stated that NSRLM has been implemented in the block for the past two years. Kenivole said that the NSRLM was an elevation mission for the rural people across the country where the mission has been headed by the women with the benefits for the whole household which has been working under a framed work. Kenivole also added that non-livelihood farming have been implemented at different levels where agricultural promotion as well as livestock activities are being promoted for the nutritional and organic farming. 
Kenivole said that the department has tied up with different line departments to get access to the rights and entitlements and ensured that every SHG has a bank account to get access to various insurances, credits, and pension under various schemes. Kenivole mentioned that under DDPMJSY, skills and placement are also promoted for the unemployment youths. Kenivole urged the participants to create awareness to the villages so that women are aware of their rights and entitlements to avail the benefits. 
Programme was organized by NSRLM block mission management unit Sechü-Zubza, RD block, credit lingages with bank and social security schemes was elaborated by SBI Sechü-Zubza, RD programmes and schemes (MGNREGA) by RD block, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandanayojna (PMMVY) by Social Welfare department, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan (PMSYM) by Labour department, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) by manager Clairvoyance Technologies and overview of NSRLM under Sechü-Zubza was delivered by block programme manager (BPM) NSRLM,  BMMU Sechü-Zubza, Vikepelie Mejura. 
Ghathashi block: Block mission management unit, NSRLM Ghathashi in collaboration with Nagaland Rural Bank Pughoboto, conducted a financial inclusion mela on January 28 at Ghathashi and at Pughoboto on January 30. Speaking in both the programme the block program manager, Ghathashi block Kanitoli Chishi stated that to ensure the self help group members to access the available social security schemes and banking facilities the programmes were being organized. Chishi said, that the BMMU Ghathashi will continue to assist the SHG members to avail the schemes rolled by the government for the welfare of the rural community. Highlighting about various social security schemes and means to avail them, Kekhriezo Pienyu, branch manager Nagaland Rural Bank Pughoboto encouraged the SHG members to avail the benefits. On spot registration for two insurance scheme viz. PMSBY and PMJJBY and an individual account opening under NRB Pughoboto branch were carried out. A total 91 SHG members got themselves enrolled for the mentioned insurance and 53 individual accounts were opened. In both the programme Angukali Chophy AC (Livelihoods) chaired the function, awareness on Ayushman Bharat was shared by Toka Chishi AC(FI) and vote of thanks was delivered by Viqheshe S Futhena AC-SISD.     
Chiephobozou block: In Chiephobozou the programme was held at Chiephobozou ground, Kohima on January 28 with resource persons, NSRLM officials and participants.
