Financial mela held at Seyochung village

Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) under Sitimi block held its first phase financial inclusion mela on January 31 at Seyochung village in convergence with Scheme Implementing department.

A press release from BPM, BMMU Sitimi block, Limtimong Tikhir stated that, EAC Seyochung, Moasunep Jinger as special invitee encouraged and advised the participants to apply whatever information relating to various schemes and benefits shared by the resource persons so as to improve their rural economy. 
He also distributed PM-Kisan beneficiaries form to the participants and told them to have aadhaar card and individual bank accounts in order to avail various welfare schemes. 
Resource persons from SBI Kiphire branch TS. John Monsang, (branch manager) and Sarei Muinao (lead district manager) shared the process and benefits of PMBSY, PMJJBY, APY and PM-Mudra Scheme etc. Dr. Kevi, medical officer, primary health center (PHC) Seyochung shared the benefits on Ayushman Bharat Yojana health card. 
In the financial inclusion mela more than 50 new individual State Bank of India (SBI) accounts were opened and several Ayushman Bharat Yojana beneficiaries were registered.
Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by Y. Sejungmong, senior pastor, Seyochung Village Baptist Lithro, overview of the NSRLM programme was shared by Limtimong Tikhir, BPM, Sitimi block, Rothrongse Sangtam, DC-FI, DMMU, Kiphire briefed and vote of thanks was delivered by Atokali. K, area coordinator (financial inclusion) Sitimi block. 
More than 220 SHG members under NSRLM and a host of village stakeholders participated in the daylong event.
