Fire incidents contained at Mokokchung, Dimapur

Fire and Emergency Services Nagaland contained fire incidents at Mokokchung and 4th Mile Diphupar ‘A’ Dimapur respectively on June 21. 

Mokokchung: In Mokokchung, fire broke out at Kumlong Ward on June 21 in the morning, whereby Fire and Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Mokokchung to control the fire. 
A press release from F&ES Kohima deputy SP. T. Shilu Jamir stated that two fire tenders along with sufficient fire personnel were pressed into action. One kutcha house comprising of two rooms and kitchen were completely razed down in the inferno. However due to timely response, the fire was prevented from spreading to the adjoining houses. Cause of fire was due to LPG leakage but no casualty was reported. The response team was led by duty commander ASI Meyilemba Jamir & ASI Libanthung Humtsoe.
Dimapur: Fire and Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Chumoukedima & Dimapur (central) to control the fire at 4th Mile Diphupar ‘A’, Dimapur on June 21. Three fire tenders along with sufficient fire personnel and equipments were dispatched. Due to timely response, the fire was brought under control and also from further spreading. 
One Assam type house was completely razed down in the inferno. Property worth 70 lakhs was destroyed but no casualty was reported. The cause of the fire was due to short circuit. 
The response team was led by duty commander ASI Jonaba from Fire Station Chumoukedima & ASI Khamlu Phom from Fire Station Dimapur (central).
