First Aid Capsule at Mimbung, Mizoram

Aizawl battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of 23 Sect Assam Rifles /Inspector General of  Assam Rifles (East) is organizing a three-  day First Aid Capsule for students of Mimbung English school at Mimbung from February 7 to 9.

A total of 35 students and 3 teachers of English School Mimbung attended the course on Friday in which classes were conducted on various commonly inflicted injuries and measures to prevent it. This course imparted basic health care tips to the attendees to protect themselves and their families from common water borne diseases which are frequent during monsoon and dry season.

Mimbung village is located in a far flung location of Saitual district with difficult terrain and dense jungle. Villagers often get injured while farming, fishing & hunting and only limited medical facilities are available. To educate the villagers on life saving and first aid medical activities, a special three-day first aid capsule is being conducted at Mimbung by 46 Assam Rifles. 

The initiative  by Assam Rifles  were appreciated  by villagers.
