First graduation day at DBCK

The first graduation ceremony of Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) for 2015-18 batch was held on July 7, to celebrate the accomplishments of 135 BA graduates. 
A press release from DBCK principal, Fr. Suresh stated that the chief guest for the graduation ceremony was Prof. Pradeshi Lal, vice chancellor, Nagaland University. Lal, in his address congratulated the toppers, graduates and faculty for their contribution to the pass percentage. He said that the graduates should grow in character and become citizens of noble character. He advised them to respect their culture and make its values globally recognised and to share their resources with the less privileged. 
Rev. Fr. Nestor Guria, Provincial Salesian Province of Dimapur, in his special address, mentioned the outstanding contributions of Don Bosco institutions to education in India and across the world. He also appreciated that DBCK as being one of the institutions that reflects the vision of the founder. He further congratulated the students, management and faculty.
The principal, in his graduation report mentioned that the students of DBCK had brought laurels to the institution by bagging 2 University Gold Medals in their first batch. He also stated that the college has been recognised by the UGC and it has given it a 2f status. 
Vice president Rev. Fr. CM Joseph, delivered the welcome address and Dr. Adenuo delivered the vote of thanks. Manikho gave a speech on behalf of the graduates. The college conferred medals and mementoes to the department toppers. 
The vice-chancellor distributed convocation certificates and mementoess to 111 students who were present for the convocation ceremony.
