Food processing training held in Darogajan

The launching program for a Skill Development Training on food processing, organized by CAN Youth and sponsored by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), was held in the community hall of Darogajan village on April 20. Dimapur District GBs Association president, Khehovi Chophy was the special guest for the launching, who formally declared the month long training open.

A press release from CAN Youth secretary, Kivitoli K. Sema stated that Khehovi Chophy lauded the organizers of the training and said it was a noble venture with a purpose to help others realise their dreams and succeed in life. 

He assured them that the GBs and the association would extend all possible support to organizations that show effort to train youths, dropouts and women. 

He also urged banks and other agencies to help those who are genuinely trying to be successful entrepreneurs.

Khehovi also encouraged the participants to make best use of the skills they acquire during the training.

Albert Gangte, branch manager, SIDBI Dimapur in a short speech said such trainings were a stepping stone to very successful business ventures and the bank was willing to give opportunities to those who were equipped and committed to succeed as entrepreneurs.

GB of Darogajan village, Projeshwar Langthasa and Jenpu Rongmei, chief functionary, CAN Youth also spoke on the occasion.

The training will be conducted by Krishna Gogoi, founder and director, Pathikrit Foundation, Jorhat and Botoshe Kasho.

The launching program was led by Faihamti Longmailai, project coordinator 3E Space, CAN Youth and Kivitoli K. Sema proposed the vote of thanks.
