Four finalists battle for Naga Chef title

 Four finalists Lipok Longkumer, Vikhuli Achumi, Dennis Suohu and Mhomo Ngullie are competing for the coveted title of the Naga Chef Season 6 at Naga Heritage Village Kisama.

The annual Naga Chef competition is organized by Synergy Group Enterprise supported by the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland.

Naga Chef is the pioneer culinary competition in Nagaland and the North-East that aims to promote Naga indigenous cuisine and to provide a platform to all Naga cooks who have a true passion to showcase the age-old Naga recipes to the world.

After 5 gruelling cooking rounds at Machaki along with four other contestants selected from the screening rounds, the four finalists have been competing for the Business/Entrepreneur title which carries cash award of Rs 3 lakh.

The final round has been on since December 1 and while tomorrow is the last day of the event. The final result will be declared on December 10 during the valedictory function of the Hornbill Festival 2018.

For the Business/Entrepreneur Round, the judges of the competition Chef Joel Basumatry, Chef Alemjungla Jamir and Chef Rovi Chase have been judging on their Customer Service, Team work, Pressure task, Food preparation, Coordination and their Business skills.

The food stalls for the competition is located above Naga Wrestling Amphitheatre, behind Bamboo Hall, Kisama.

In this, Team Naga Chef invites everyone to visit the Naga Chef arena to witness the competition, support the contestants and taste the delicacies of the rich Naga indigenous cuisine.
