Fuel prices hiked

Petrol prices were increased by 5 paise and diesel prices, on the other hand, were hiked by 5-6 paise across major cities of the country on Tuesday 

In Delhi, after today’s rate revision, petrol prices rose to Rs 71.76 a litre as against Rs 71.71 on Monday while diesel price climbed to Rs 65.14 per litre as compared to Rs 65.09 on Monday, as per data from Indian Oil Corporation website.

On Monday, state-run oil marketing companies kept the retail prices of petrol and diesel unchanged across major cities of the country. As per the country’s daily pricing mechanism, the pump price of petrol and diesel is dependent on the global crude prices and the rupee-US dollar exchange.
