Fuel prices hit all-time high

Continuing with the upward trend, petrol and diesel prices have hit an all-time high and for the first time ever on Sunday. 

Petrol in Delhi was priced at Rs 78.84 per litre on Sunday. In Mumbai, petrol cost Rs 86.25 per litre, in Kolkata petrol cost Rs 81.76 per litre and Rs 81.92 per litre in Chennai.

Diesel can be bought at Rs 70.76 per litre in Delhi and in Mumbai diesel at Rs 75.12 per litre, Rs 73.61 per litre in Kolkata and Rs 74.77 per litre in Chennai.

In Dimapur and Kohima petrol price stood at Rs. 76.61 and Rs. 76.79 respectively as on Sunday. While diesel in Dimapur cost Rs. 68.58 and in Kohima Rs. 68.75.

The opposition has strengthened the attack on the Modi government over fuel prices. 

Riding high on the increase in GDP growth rate, NDA’s euphoria was punctured by the Congress saying that the people of the country are paying its price.
