Gamlin, Bage appointed as NPP national secretary

Former Arunachal Pradesh BJP general secretary, Jarpum Gamlin and former BJP legislator, Paknga Bage have been appointed as NPP national Secretary in-charge for media, social media and communications and National Secretary in-charge of Nagaland respectively. 

In a statement issued here, NPP national president and Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma said, “Communications plays a very important role in politics in an age of information. Gamlin with prior experience in the field of media will be an asset for the party.” Gamlin, is a former journalist and founding Editor and Publisher of Arunachal based newspaper Eastern Sentinel, had unsuccessfully contested the elections to the Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly. Similarly, Bage, who also unsuccessfully contested the assembly election was Sunday appointed as National Secretary incharge of Nagaland. 

Bage has been entrusted the role to strengthen the party base in Nagaland in close coordination with Nagaland State Unit. 

 “As national party, NPP has already begun its interventions to strengthen the party base in different State of the Northeast and necessary initiatives are being taken to ensure that the party reaches out to the people of Northeast and beyond,” Sangma added.
