Ganeshnagar quarantine centre ready for returnees

Deputy chief minister of Nagaland, Y. Patton, visited the Ganeshnagar quarantine facility on Thursday. 

According to DIPR report, Patton inspected the quarantine and isolation wards and reviewed the preparedness of security, medical, electricity, water supply, sanitation and control room. Patton said he was impressed with the visible development undertaken by the Police in a record time and graded their performance as excellent. He lauded the Police Department led by Nagaland DGP, John Longkumer for setting the stage beautifully to welcome the returnees of Nagaland. 

Minister of PHED, Jacob Zhimomi, on behalf of the legislators of Dimapur district, applauded the DGP and all rank and files of the Police department for the tremendous work done for the welfare of the Nagas. He also cautioned that as human nature, there might be criticism once the returnees occupy the centre. In this regard, Jacob advised them not to feel discouraged but to continue with their mission, mentioning prevention and isolation as the most important need of the present situation.

Azheto, MLA, also lauded the Police department and advised them to inform the surrounding villages to stay indoors while the returnees are transported in the centre to avoid apprehensions and also for spraying disinfectants often as a preventive measure.

DGP Nagaland, assured to continue rendering their best services and to make the Ganeshnagar QC one of the best.  DIG Training, Aotemsu the man behind all the development works at Ganeshnagar said that things have been carried out smoothly without confusions due to the unlimited authority vested to him by the DGP Nagaland. 

Returnees would also be monitored twice daily, he informed. Among others, advisor Dr. Longriniken, Tovihoto Ateli, Kazheto Kinimi and commissioner Police Dimapur also accompanied Y. Patton.
