GCZ ‘Students First’ project concludes

Green Club Zunheboto (GCZ) under its project “Students first” has been reaching out to 142 marginalised students, whose parents were labourers and daily wage earners. The project concluded on July 2 at Zunheboto town, wherein the marginalised students were from 16 private schools.   

A press release from GCZ stated that, in less than 3 weeks, the club raised Rs. 2,12,656 with contributions pouring in even from far off places like Goa and Delhi. The project received tremendous response from likeminded people within and outside the state who generously contributed towards the project. Officials from Green Club Zunheboto also said that every contribution was counted and the amount was distributed according to the details submitted by the different school heads to the club. 
Out of 2,12,656 rupees collected, Rs. 207200 was distributed to the 16 schools and the remaining balance amount of Rs. 5556 was donated to the students of Mount Carmel Home, Sukhalu.
