GLOCAL Hornbill International Film Festival on Dec 8 and 9

 The 2nd edition of GLOCAL, Hornbill International Film Festival will be held on December 8 and 9 at Bamboo hall, Heritage village, Kisama from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

Information & Public Relations, commissioner & secretary, V. Maria Yanthan will inaugurate the Film Festival.  

The two day film festival will not only involve the screening of short films, animations and documentaries from across the globe but will also feature workshops and seminars covering a wide array of subjects related to film making.

The highlight of the film festival will be the screening of award winning short films from Myanmar including the much acclaimed  animated film titled “My Life I Don’t Want” which has bagged 38 global film awards in various film festivals including the prestigious Human Rights Human Dignity Film Festival. 

Two short films from of renowned film maker from Nagaland Sophy Lasuh titled ‘IRIS YINGZEN’ and Rone along with a number of other short films from America, Latvia, Nagaland and North East will be screened during the two day film festival.

The film festival is being organised by Eastern Art Council in collaboration with directorate of Information and Public Relations.

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
