Golden jubilee celebrated at PLS

 Advisor of School Education, K. Tokugha Sukhalu said one should not compromise with the foundation of education if the goal in life of an individual has to become a reality. 

He said this while addressing the golden jubilee celebration of Phom Lempong School (PLS) at PBCA convention hall Longleng as guest of honour on Saturday. While congratulating the school for reaching a milestone, the advisor said vision of an individual can be seen through the achievement of quality education that he acquired from the institutions. He also said that  by acquiring proper and quality education, one can have a better living and all round development which benefits not only an individual but the society at large. 

He also said that every individual has an aim and objective in life where one has to pursue according to his inner decision to make vibrant living for the rest of his life. He also pointed out that today’s generation were the blessed one, where every child is given utmost care and guidance by the parents for a bright future. 

While focusing on the human development and infrastructure of the school, he said PLS was second to none and it was the church and community participation towards the successful journey of the school which has shown a positive impact and was commendable. He also assured to intervene into the need of the school especially for the upgradation of school to higher secondary and other requirement of the school. 

Advisor also said that present government has been focusing on development of the state especially the ENPO areas under various project. He therefore, appealed to the people to extend cooperation to both the legislators for more development in the district. 

In the morning the guest of honour unveiled the jubilee monolith which was erected in front of the school, while dedicatory prayer was said by Rev. L. Paushen Phom, former executive secretary PBCA. 

Earlier, programme was chaired by M. Lamjan Phom, scripture reading & prayer by Rev. M. Mongmei Phom, former PLS teacher, salutation by Y. Tauhong Phom, planning convenor. Jubilee song was presented by PLS students. Wisdom from pioneers was shared by Rev. Very Ingli, former headmistress and S. Bukchem Phom, former principal. Special appearance was presented by students of Christian School Longleng while jubilee message and prayer was brought by Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung, former executive secretary PBCA.
