Golden jubilee of PHC Mangmetong village

Primary health centre (PHC), Mangmetong village, celebrated its golden jubilee on Tuesday, at the centre’s premises, with the attendance of chief medical officer, Mokokchung, Dr R Chubala Aier, Dr. K Tali and MBA pastor Dr. I  Lolen Imchen as the key speaker. 
Pastor, Mangmetong Baptist Church (MBA), Dr. I Lolen Imchen stated that the establishment of the erstwhile dispensary at Mangmetong village, in the year 1970, had been a major boon for the villagers. He lauded the village health care management committee (HCMC) and the members associated with PHC Mangmetong, of the past and present for the sincere health care catered for the citizens of the village, as well as for the neighbouring villages. 
Pastor Lolen, urged upon the people and staff of the PHC to make best use of facilities provided by the government, for a healthy community and upgradation of the centre.
Earlier, the souvenir was released by CMO, Dr. R Chubala Aier, which was initiated by HCMC, chairman. 
Short speeches were delivered by Dr. K Tali, Dr. R Chubala Aier and others.
Welcome address was said by MO, Dr. Bendang in the programme chaired by HE, Bendang. Speaking on the sidelines of the jubilee celebration, the chairman of HCMC, Aripong Imchen said that the PHC Mangmetong has been able to flourish, due to the philanthropic contributions of the villagers. 
He said that a waiting shed, water reservoir and compound RCC carpeting for patients was constructed through donations from villagers, along with doctors set, invertor and computer for the PHC. Apong stated that the village council and the Mangmetong Baptist Church has relegated substantial amounts for the smooth functioning of the PHC, along with the present staff contribution.
