Government college principals’ conference held in Kohima

The government colleges principals conference was held at directorate of Higher Education conference hall on November 25, with minister of HTE and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along, as the guest of honor. 

A press release by directorate of Higher Education stated that, the minister addressed the principals and also inaugurated and flagged off three buses to be distributed to Wangkhao Government College, Mon, Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma and directorate of Higher Education. 
He was optimistic that the service would help respective recipients in their daily administrative works to greater extent.
Commissioner and secretary, HTE, Imjung Panger, further highlighted achievements, needs and challenges of the department in his brief address.
Inaugural programme was chaired by director, Dr. Apeni Lotha, while invocation was pronounced by principal, Dimapur Government College, Dr. Moanochet Longchar.
First session was an interactive session chaired by the director, Higher Education, with all principals participating, while the second session was chaired by additional director, Higher Education. Assistant prof. St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, Dr. Mhonthung Yanthan as resource person presented on the topic “Choice based credit system (CBCS) and its implementation”. Vote of thanks was delivered by addl. director, Higher Education, Dr. Katoni Jakhalu.
