Governor Acharya addresses at Srinivasa University

Governor of Nagaland, P.B. Acharya on July 3 said institutions, including universities imparting education, should become part of the national growth.

Speaking on challenges in higher education and the National Education Policy at the Srinivasa University at Mukka, Governor Acharya said besides empowering students with knowledge and skill, universities should make them enterprising leaders. 

Stating that education should have a definite goal, the Governor also noted that education that enhances reputation of the country should be capable of uplifting the life of rural people.

The Governor said the North Eastern States of India are now becoming empowered as hundreds of students from the North Easten region has been getting education in the institutes in Dakshina Kannada.

Srinivasa University Chancellor A. Raghavendra Rao, pro-Chancellor A. Srinivasa Rao, Vice Chancellor P.S. Aithal, Registrar Anil Kumar and others were present at the programme.
