A day after Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) threatened non-cooperation during the ensuing Independence Day celebrations over the delay in appointment of ADC at Shamator headquarters, the state government through commissioner & secretary (P&AR) has issued a clarification with regard to posting of officers in Shamator and Chessore.

In a press release, the commissioner & secretary (P&AR) Abhishek Singh clarified that T Lankosen Tsanglao was given charge of ADC Shamator and H Berimong was given the charge of SDO (C) Chessore vide P&AR order PAR-4/24/2019(CSB)Pt-II Dated June 8, 2018.

However, the commissioner & secretary said that due to “certain unforeseen circumstances” both the officers could not join their place of posting for some time. Subsequently, commissioner & secretary said Tsanglao was directed to report to Shamator immediately and he assumed the charge of ADC Shamator on August 10, 2018.

Singh also clarified that T Lankosen was amongst the senior-most SDO (Civil) who was under the zone of consideration for promotion as ADC and promotion orders were likely to be issued very soon.

Accordingly, commissioner & secretary said he has been given the charge of ADC Shamator as per the standard practice.

With regard to SDO (C) Chessore, the commissioner & secretary said that due to the inability of the officer posted earlier to join, Samuel SDO (C) Tuli was posted as SDO (C) Chessore.

Expressing regret that for some time officers posted to the respective locations could not join, the commissioner & secretary, however, confirmed that ADC Shamator has taken over charge.

In this regard, commissioner & secretary appealed to the people of Shamator to extend all possible support and cooperation to the administrative officers and work together towards the development of Shamator.

STPF grateful to state govt.

Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) has expressed gratitude to the state chief secretary and commissioner & secretary (P&AR) for acknowledging the grievances regarding non-posting of administrative officers at Shamator Hq.

In a press release, STPF president, S Toji, and general secretary, Z Kiumusu, said they have also learnt that L Lankosen was among the senior-most SDO (Civil) who was under the zone of consideration for promotion as ADC and promotion orders were likely to be issued soon.

In this regard, STP has assured to extend all possible support and cooperation to the Administrative officer and work together towards the development of Shamator in the larger interest of all.
