State government Wednesday issued Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for home isolation of asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, which would come into force with immediate effect.

During daily briefing on COVID-19, principal secretary home Abhijit Sinha said that any patient, who is clinically assigned as an asymptomatic case by the treating medical officer and is not an immunocompromised patient, could apply for home isolation.

He informed that a single bedroom with proper ventilation was mandatory for home isolation and there should preferably be an attached bathroom, adding that appropriate disinfectants should also be available.
