GSKS celebrates 29th Bhasha Diwas

Marking the recognition day of Nepali language, Gorkha Sahitya Kala Sanstha (GSKS) Kohima under the aegis of Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) celebrated the 29th Bhasha Diwas on August 20 at GPPK Hall in Chandmari.

A press release by GSKS publicity cell stated that on the occasion, GPPK president Santu Thapa recalled the sacrifice of those visionary Gorkhas who had fought to provide Nepali language in the Eight Schedule of the Indian Constitution.  

The occasion was marked by lighting of lamp in remembrance of the former leaders; welcome address was delivered by GSKSK cultural secretary Bharat Baraily and significance of the day was shared by GSKSK assistant treasurer Pramila Thapa.   

Launched on December 3,1990. Nagaland Post is the first and highest circulated newspaper of Nagaland state. Nagaland Post is also the first newspaper in Nagaland to be published in multi-colour.
