Advisor for Prisons, Printing & Stationery, H. Haiying and advisor for Law & Justice, Border Affairs and Treasuries & Accounts, Dr. Longriniken met Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju in New Delhi, on July 19.
A press release from Nagaland House PRO said that in the meeting, Haiying appraised the Home Minister on the present condition of the Central Jail at Dimapur and ten sub-jails in the district of Nagaland. The advisor also submitted proposals on: i) Modernization and infrastructure development of central jail Dimapur and district sub-jails in the state; ii) Establishment of a women jail at Dimapur; iii) Construction of modern jail at Dimapur and; iv) Construction of open prisons in Dimapur and Kohima. 
Haiying further appealed to the Union Minister to look into the matter on top priority.
The release said that Rijiju took note of the issues raised by the two advisors and said that he would take up the matter seriously with the concerned ministry for sanctioning.
Haiying also held another meeting with the Director for printing, Central Ministry of Urban Development for the first time. The advisor was accompanied by his official team -- joint director, deputy director and assistant director. The state printing and stationery department team discussed the need to modernize the government printing press infrastructure in the state. 
The team also requested the ministry to extend any possible help in infrastructure, as well as human resource development in skill labour training, to operate the latest machineries in digital printing. The Director said that any possible help will be extended to the state.
