Health & wellness centre inaugurated at Diphupar

Mission director National Health Mission Nagaland, Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru on December 2 inaugurated the health and Wellness centre (H&WC) at Diphupar-B. 

A press release by deputy chief medical officer Dimapur, Dr. Antoly Suu stated that Dr. Kevichusa credited the diligence and relentless dedication of the village council chairman and GBs of Diphupar-B for the establishment of H&WC in Diphupar-B. 
He stated that the newly inaugurated centre belonged to the community and therefore, reminded the people that the success of the centre will depend on their involvement and support. 
He further informed the gathering that the H&WC will function under a community health officer along with an ANM. 
Services such as immunization, ANC check-up and general OPD will be available. Besides these services, health issues related to lifestyle such hypertension, diabetes, and cancer will also be screened at the centre. 
In this regard, he requested all sector GBs to inform their respective communities on the facilities and services provided by the centre. 
Village council chairman, Kahuto Chishi, promised that the community will extend support and co-operation to the health workers in all health related activities. The inaugural programme chaired by AWW center-IV Joyce Murry began with an invocation by asst. pastor Jacob, Sumi Baptist Church Diphupar-B.
