Heavy vehicle ban in Peren, Meluri

DC & DEO, Peren, Sarita Yadav has banned plying of heavy vehicles on roads within Peren district from April 3 to April 13.

According to DIPR, the DC convened a meeting with members of Timber Union Peren on March 29 in view of the Parliamentary Elections scheduled for April 11, and resolved that in order to ensure smooth plying of vehicles on election duty, all heavy vehicles deployed to carry certain  goods and items, will not be allowed to ply for the said number of days. Failure to comply with this order will invite necessary action as per appropriate sections of law. Similarly, ADC and AERO Meluri, Phuleshe K.Yepthomi, has also issued an order that in view of the forth coming Lok Sabha Elections, heavy vehicles, especially log-laden trucks (Shaktimans), except those carrying essential commodities, will not be allowed to ply while the election process is underway. This order will be effective from April 9 to 11. Any violatorsof the said order will invite strict action as per provisions of the Law.
