IC national seminar on Naga customary tradition

Two-day national seminar on “Concept of property in Naga customary tradition” sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research-North Eastern Regional Centre (ICSSR-NERC) and organised by research committee, Immanuel College, Dimapur in collaboration with Institute of Naga Studies, Dimapur, Nagaland was held on September 21. 

A press release from Immanuel College media cell convenor, Akutu Poireng stated that, the two-day seminar had 15 presenters altogether on the four sub-topics, “Conceptual understanding of property”, “Land identity and property ownership”, “Exploring concept of property in Naga context” and “Personal law in relation to property.”

Technical sessions were chaired by prof. Kedilezo Kikhi, Sociology, Tezpur University, prof. N. Venuh, History & Archaeology, Nagaland University and Dr. A.S. Shimreiwung, asst prof. Sociology, Tezpur University Assam. Vote of thanks was given by Imjungla Imchen, convener, research & seminar committee.
