ICDS organizes cultural confluence

 A cultural confluence was organized by Indigenous Cultural Society Dimapur (ICSD) Saturday, at multi-purpose cultural complex auditorium, near St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Tenyiphe 1, Chümoukedima.

The event was sponsored by tribal research institute under art & culture department and planning & coordination department, Nagaland. 

Planning & coordination department additional development commissioner, Nosazol Charles who was the official guest of the event asserted that culture means civilization and thereby evolution ultimately kept growing through learning. Learning from one another, learn others’ culture, way of life and values that would fetch us peace, cooperation, and cordial coexistence, Charles said. 

Charles encouraged the gathering saying that with the change of civilization they need to learn to adjust as well as cooperate with one another. He urged the gathering to assimilate and adopt that is good and cherishable for change. “We have learned and understood that when we live cordially we find peace and joy, thus accordingly let’s learn from different people and community by sharing ideas and values such as today’s programme and improve our society,” he added

Cultural regale was presented by Assamese, Bengali, folk choreography by Indigenous folktale and music school, Kachari (Bamunpukhuri, Dimasa cultural troupe), Jain, Lotha (Yotsü cultural troupe)-Mungyanta.  

The programme was chaired by Apritoli Shohe, welcome address was delivered by board of director, member Vitoho Chophy and keynote address was delivered by art and culture department, joint director (HoD) Puchosale Yore. Later, vote of thanks was delivered by ICSD director Dr. Hosheto Y Chishi.
