ICFAI University Nagaland department of History organized a talk on “Challenges Facing us Today,” on April 16 with speaker and trainer RZIM Life Focus Society, Dr. Kethoser (Aniu) Kevichusa.

A press release from the department’s HoD, Dr. Resenmenla Longchar stated that Dr. Kethoser, in his talk, highlighted eight challenges faced by the Naga people viz., political, economic, social, environmental, educational, cultural, moral and spiritual.
He also pointed out the instability prevalent in Naga politics due to which even multi-national companies had stopped making investments in Nagaland. He further opined that the tribalistic mindset of people was one of the major factors severely damaging present Naga society as a whole.
Dr. Kethoser concluded by stating that the purpose of the talk was not to solve these problems or give answers but rather to challenge the gathering to deliberately make choices between sovereignty or stability, dependency or sufficiency, narrow-mindedness or broad-mindedness, futility or sustainability, superficiality or sagacity, traditionality or vitality, depravity or integrity, religiosity or authenticity.
The talk was chaired by department of history assistant professor, Dr. Khrienuo, and a vote of thanks was proposed by Kamsiliu K Pamei, BA 4th Semester.
