IGP visits 173 CRPF headquarters Dimapur

Inspector General of Police, CRPF, Manipur & Nagaland sector, Randeep Datta, PMG, along with DIG (operations), CRPF, Kohima visited 173 Bn CRPF headquarter at Dimapur and other CRPF establishments on September 6 to review the overall security situation in Nagaland.

A press release by 173 BN CRPF, control room stated that, the senior commanders were briefed by commandant 173, Vishnu Gautam on the preparedness of CRPF in performance of their assigned duties in Nagaland. The IGP expressed satisfaction on the commitment and preparedness of CRPF in the state and applauded the troops for their hard work, ethics and devotion to duty. Randeep Datta also took part in Fit India Movement at 173 Bn CRPF headquarters along with jawans and their family members, to encourage people to stay healthy and fit by inculcating physical activities and sports.
Meanwhile, the IGP during the visit at 173 Bn CRPF Headquarter at Dimapur reviewed the development works on the full-fledged CRPF unit headquarter which is to be established shortly in Chümoukedima on an area measuring 50.15 acres which was purchased in 2010 for establishment of an unattached Battalion of CRPF. With this development happening in near future, it is assured that there will be a huge impact to the people especially in terms of economy and developmental activities in Chümoukedima area in particular and Dimapur district in general.
