Illusion Crew wins open dance competition

 The Illusion Crew won the open dance competition during the Kohima Mega Dance Fiesta season-2 The Next Level organised by the Univibes in collaboration with Modern Dance Association of India held at State Academy Hall Kohima on November 9 . The winner was promised an exclusive video contract from Richa Productions. 

The Kohima Mega Dance Fiesta season 2 The Next Level started its competition from November 7, the 1st runners up bagged by Bikash Thapa. Illusion Crew will represent Nagaland at the National level to be held in January 2020.

Pink Bullets won the K-Pop competition and received Rs. 10,000 worth gift hampers sponsored by Active Station Kohima. They will also get the opportunity to perform during the Hornbill Festival and the 1st runners up, the Starlight LS4 and Wemhe-ü was the second runners up. The winner of 2 Vs 2 All Style Battle was won by Shang Chiu and Simon and 1st runners up was bagged by Bboy Jeff and Bboy Lucky.

Earlier, project director TaFMA, Hovithal Sothu in his address as the special guest encouraged the dancers in the state and said that they can be on top of the dancing world. He assured to continue to help in the dance fiesta in the upcoming days as well and stated anything that they believe will benefit the society; we will help to make it happen.

President ARK Foundation, Ketho Angami in his address expressed his happiness to see the young talents getting such opportunity to perform and said that such event would ventilate their stress and frustrations. He urged the dancers to engage themselves in this kind of healthy and entertaining engagement, keep themselves busy to avoid indulging in bad habits.  

The judges for the competition were Lamgrace Thouthang and Shang Chiu for open dance competition, the Mystiques Crew for K-Pop category, and Wapang a.k.a Neo Gotham and Bboy Multiple for 2 vs 2 all style battle.  

Altogether, 16 participants in the open dance category, 8 participants in the K-Pop dance contest and 6 in 2 vs 2 all style battle competed during the event.

It may be mentioned that the organizer organized such event to provide a common platform for the upcoming young generation to explore and expand their potentials and also to equip them to bring laurel to the state and aim to bring more dance flavours.
