India’s COVID-19 death toll rises to 1075

The total number of novel coronavirus cases in the country has increased to 33,610 after 1,823 fresh positive Covid-19 patients were reported in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Speaking at the press briefing today, Lav Aggrawal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health said: “The current fatality rate is 3.2%. Co-morbidities was found in 78% of the patients who died from the virus. Doubling rate of the cases has now increased to 11 days.”

Globally, the novel coronavirus cases have surged past 3.2 million along with reporting more than 228,000 deaths across the world.

Nagaland COVID: Test results of 13 awaited

DIMAPUR, APR 30 (NPN): State principal secretary Home, Abhijit Sinha Thursday informed that so far 653 COVID-19 suspected samples were been sent for testing, out of which 640 reported to be negative. The results for the remaining 13 samples were awaited, he added. Sinha also informed that 1755 persons were screened on April 30 and 33 were currently under facility quarantine.
