Indian Army flags off national integration tour from Manipur

Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana flagged off a National Integration Tour for 18 students and two staff members of Kumbi College, Manipur to Delhi and Agra on  November  8. 

A press release by PRO ( Defence) stated that the tour was  organized under the theme ‘Today’s Children, Tomorrow’s Future of the North East’, and is another endeavour of Indian Army to harness the potential of children from families which are below the poverty line and from remote locations.     

The tour aimed to provide an insight on ethnic, cultural and religious diversity of India and students will visit premier institutions and witness the strides made by India in the fields of economy, infrastructure and entertainment, the Army said.                  

The tour has been well received by the locals, who have shown keen interest and expressed gratitude towards the Indian Army for their continuous efforts in providing platforms for their children to excel, the release added.
