Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Friday.

Bisaria congratulated Imran Khan on his astounding victory in the recent Pakistan general elections. Bisaria and Khan discussed a range of issues and prospects of India-Pakistan relationship. The high commissioner also gifted a cricket bat to Khan with autographs of the entire Indian cricket team. Imran Khan, Pakistan’s prime minister-in-waiting, will take oath on August 18, according to senior leader from PTI. The 65-year-old cricketer-turned-politician had contested from five constituencies and had won from all of them. But the ECP has only granted him temporary permission to take oath as a Member of the National Assembly, pending the outcome of the case of violation of electoral code of conduct.
Imran won the NA-53 seat by defeating former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, bagging 92,891 votes in contrast to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader’s 44,314 votes.
