Indradhanush task force holds meeting

The State Task Force meeting for extended Mission Indradhanush under Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan was held at the Conference Hall, Office of the Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Kohima on July 9. 
According to DIPR, while presenting a slideshow review of the preparedness for Extended MI-SIO(UIP) & SMO, WHO, Visasieü Kire said that the main objectives of Mission Indradhanush was to rapidly saturate the identified 115 aspirational districts and thereafter sustain them through routine immunization. All children and pregnant women should receive all due vaccines with special focus on children up to 2 years of age. She said three rounds of Mission Indradhanush will be conducted in aspirational districts where the 1st round is scheduled from July 16. Inter departmental coordination will be the key to succeed, she added. In Kiphire district the first round will continue for 17 days. 16 villages have been selected by MOHFW and training for medical officers, BPMs and FLWs have been conducted. The head count in all the villages were completed on July 6.
Mission Director, NHM, Kevichiisa Medikhru delivered the opening remarks while commissioner & secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Himato Zhimomi gave the closing remarks. Allied departments also participated in the State Task Force meeting.
