DMU Mokokchung, FMU Mokokchung and FMU Changtongya organised a programme on “Distribution of kuroiler chicks to JFMCs under NFMP during COVID-19 pandemic towards economic development” was held at Forest Complex Marepkong on June 16. 

A press release by DFO and DMU head Mokokchung division Dr. Sentitula stated that, briefing on the progress of work under NFMP was delivered by Merentemsu, Mopungchuket JFMC chairperson, Purlemba, Changtongya New JFMC chairperson and Sademmar, Mongsenyimti JFMC chairperson, followed by discussion hour. Review on work was discussed and inputs were given by FMU head Mokokchung I. Sashilemla and FMU Head Changtongya, Moamongba. 

Earlier, a talk on “Restoring forest conservation & livelihood and the initiative under NFMP” was delivered by DFO and DMU head Mokokchung, Dr. Sentitula in the programme chaired by Moamongba. 

Two weeks old kuroiler chicks along with feeds was distributed to each JFMCs.
