Innovation day celebrated at ICFAI University

As part of innovation day celebration, the department of Computer Science ICFAI University Nagaland under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) IUN organized a poster competition on the theme “Innovation with sub-themes on technology, agriculture and energy conservation” on October 14.

A press release from ICFAI University, department of Computer Science coordinator and head, O Bhopen Singh stated that, prof. C.P Alexander, vice chancellor, ICFAI University, Nagaland, highlighted that the innovation day will be celebrated as a national activity under the guideline of MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India. 
He said that innovation day was celebrated to remember former president of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary. 
He also said that ICFAI University Nagaland was the only institution in Nagaland to have Institution Innovation Council (IIC). President of IIC, Rupanka Bhuyan, asst. professor, Computer Science, IUN disclosed that more such activities will be followed. 
A total of 20 students from various departments participated in the poster competition and the first prize was bagged by B. Shoan of BA, second prize by Longtsusang Lkr of BCA and the third prize by Kiviho Yepthomi of BCA. The programme was chaired by Dr. V.T Vasan, asst. professor of Management, IUN.
