Installation of vending machine and incinerator at HFHSS

Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), Nagaland branch has installed sanitary napkin vending machine and incinerator for disposal of used sanitary napkins at Holy Family Higher Secondary School (HFHSS), Kohima on December 17. 

A press release by HFHSS Kohima principal, Ashikho stated that, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between FPA India, Nagaland branch and HFHSS, Kohima with provisions for the former to intervene in addressing the integration of sexual and reproductive health services, adolescent education programme and menstrual hygiene programme in the school. The two parties will exchange documentation and publication of common interest, reports etc. on regular basis and will also co-operate in identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of joint activities and mission. MOU which was signed by general manager of FPA India, Nagaland branch, Vincent Belho and Ashikho, HFHSS principal Ashikho will be reviewed every year through meetings. Further, the FPA India Nagaland branch and HFHSS, Kohima shall be part of the referral network set up by FPA India, where the adolescent students can have access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services including counselling, care and support and other services offered by FPA India, Nagaland branch. The machines were handed to the school by the project officer, Akangkokla Namo.
