Is Nagaland protesting against CAB 2016 for the sake of protesting

After the protest rally against Citizenship Amendment Bill was organized in Kohima town on 08.02.19 and total bandh on 11.02.19 by conglomeration of apex civil society organizations under the banner of Nagaland GB Federation, Nagaland formally joined other Northeastern states in protest against the said Bill. However the protest has not gain momentum like in Assam, Mizoram and Manipur. Through this article I shall try my best to prove my point that Nagaland Government and its indigenous citizens appears to be consciously protesting just for the sake of protesting.
Protesting for the sake of protesting: Protest against the CAB yet Adopt: The Indigenous inhabitants protest against the CAB, but adoption of non indigenous person or migrants is an accepted practice in Nagaland. Adopted individual taking on the identity of the indigenous inhabitants’ family, village, clan and tribe is the easiest method of acquiring Indian citizenship for indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland are  citizens of India, such adopted person has no need of CAB becoming a law. There are many practices which the people of Nagaland don’t bother to correct yet ceaselessly blabber about takeover of Nagaland by illegal immigrants and migrants.
The ongoing debate of Article 371A restricting the applicability of CAB when it became a law: Nagaland Government, Opposition Party and learned individuals from all walks of life have shared differing views on how a constitutional provision of Article 371A can and cannot restrict the application of Citizenship Amendment Bill when it became a law. Readers can further come to understanding of the current citizenship debate and where it will head to, by tying to presume what may happen once the Bill becomes a law without exempting Nagaland from the purview of the Amended Citizenship Act 1955: large scale protest will hit the state and what comes next after the protest, time can only answer.
The Lone Lok Sabha Member from Nagaland voted in favour CAB yet PDA Government decides to oppose now, for what? When the National, Regional political parties including own BJP Party Members, Meghalaya BJP MLA, Mizoram State BJP Unit and former BJP top leader Yaswant Sinha opposes the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 citing that the Bill deemed to be purely communal, vote bank politics and against the secular fabric of the Constitution, also incorrect from the point of view of Assam Accord. In spite of stiff opposition from other quarters, our own MP from Nagaland belonging to NDPP Party voted in favour of the CAB thereby portraying that Nagaland Government supports communal agendas or the Nagas too communal in the first place, I leave to the readers to decide on it. Such double standard policy of Nagaland government confirms that Nagaland is protesting for the sake of it, not wanting to be left behind and outdone by neighbouring North-eastern states. Having said it, NDPP press release in Eastern mirror dated 18.01.19 and titled: Even if the CAB is passed, Nagaland has option to reject it, may perhaps turn out right, as studying the policy of Central Government in Nagaland context, it is hard to believe the force will be used like deployment of its armed forces in  counter insurgent operations to implement the Amended Citizenship Act in not politically important state like Nagaland and why would Central Government take unnecessary risk to see the repeat of state-wide protest enflamed by spirit of ethnic nationalism like in Assam. Yet the act of PDA government voting in favour of the CAB will not be forgotten easily in the days to come, in other words a person cannot show his solidarity to his next door neighbours by trying to be in good books of the neighbours enemies.
My thoughts on the Bill: Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that the interest of people of Assam and Northeast will not be affected in any way and citizenship will be only granted after due investigation and recommendation of the state governments.
No doubt the assurance make some sense but can it soothe the fear of North-eastern indigenous communities as these classified minority groups have vowed to do anything to avoid the repeat of Tripura case in their own home state. Indians in India are extremely communal and cunning; fanatically religious for democratic ideals and multiculturalism to work in reality thus Communal BJP introduces the Citizenship Amendment Bill only to save the persecuted Hindus including other religious groups to show the Bill is not communal or agenda of Hindutva policy. Yet the powerful Union of India will by no means face any crack because of the Northeast dilemma viz-a-viz contentious CAB. BJP Government put itself in a fix by appearing to support Assam Accord and NRC updates where the lakhs of helpless victims of NRC Update include Muslims too. Why ignore millions of Muslims from Bangladesh who comes to India to feed them and for their struggling family wellbeing, also have lived in the country for several decades. The moves of the BJP portrays the cunning untrustworthy character of regular Indians, where telling lies after lies is part and parcel of Indian culture.
Endnote: As a true believer in human rights and humanity, I do have sympathy and wishes that the persecuted refugees who are stateless be taken proper care of. But when the powerful individuals running the government are extremely communal and think only for own kind ignoring the equally suffering refugees/aliens living in the same country, one could only choose to join fellow brothers and sisters to protest against such discriminatory move of the Central government.
