Jakhama BLF celebrates foundation day

 Japfüphi Thenuko Block Level Federation (JTBLF) with 17 Village Level Organizations (VLO) and 224 Self Help Groups (SHGs) celebrated its second foundation day on August 10 at Jakha Town Hall, Jakhama.

In a press release from state program manager NSRLM, Khriezovonuo Lhoungu stated that resource person, Chief Operating Officer (Skills and Youth Intervention) NSRLM, Menuoneituo Chadi, said that   Jakhama RD block, being a resource block for Kohima district for implementation of NRLM programs, needed to show the way for others to emulate since most pilot interventions are being done there. Talking about the various programs under NRLM he urged the community to avail of such opportunities. He also spoke about various other programs for women, youth, etc.

He further spoke on innovations in the field of branding and promotion of SHG products that is in the process which would greatly improve market opportunities in the coming years.

The program was chaired by joint secretary JTBLF, Khrieno Khora, invocation was said by assistant pastor Jakhama Baptist Church, Kezhosato Savi, welcome and keynote address was delivered by president JTBLF, Hovisale Khatso, secretary and treasurer reports were submitted by Rokono Kisotso and Nochenu Thaprü, chart presentations were given by VLO Kezoma, Pete and VLO Jakhama, Vimeyie; a special song was presented by Phesama VLO. Block program manager NSRLM Jakhama, Vitsituo Mepfhüo, also delivered a short speech.
